 The Messapo is a Primitivo del Salento with a Mediterranean soul – powerful, approachable, and full of charm. The grapes come from approximately 15-year-old vines that thrive in the hot, dry soils of Salento. The result is an intense, inviting red wine with aromas of ripe cherries, plums, spices, and a hint of licorice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and round, with well-integrated alcohol and smooth tannins. Despite its warmth, it remains harmonious and easy to drink – ideal with grilled meat, aged cheese, or for relaxed evenings.
